Decorating with Poinsettias

The Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall will be decorated again with poinsettias, but we need your help to make this spectacular presentation go smoothly! Messiah Christmas Baskets

Packing bags: Monday–Friday (December 16-20)Delivery: Saturday morning, December 21 Collate and distribute food bags containing Christmas meal ingredients through Community Bridge and Messiah Lutheran Church at the Center for Changing Lives located at 2400 Park Avenue in Minneapolis. I Won’t be Home for Christmas

A St. Andrew tradition continues as we offer worship for those who are travelling for the holidays but would still like to worship at your home church with us.  The service features favorite traditional carols along with special music for our Grace Notes handbell choir.

Advent Worship at St. Andrew 

Join us for Advent worship on Wednesdays in December.  We gather at 6:15 PM for “Candle Time” (live Christmas music and prayer time), and then worship begins at 6:30 PM.  We’ll be singing the Magnificat from the Holden Evening Prayer service along with favorite carols and we’ll hear reflections from our pastors on some of the most beloved Christmas carols. Ugly Sweater Contest & Improv

Ugly Sweater Contest and Improv by the cast of Actors Theater of Minnesota On Wednesday, December 18th, the tradition of the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest continues amidst a joyful performance by the cast of Actors Theater of Minnesota. Come for Wednesday Night Dinner wearing your most outrageous Christmas sweater and enjoy the entertainment as the cast takes your suggestions creating clean holiday-themed instant comedy. Children’s Christmas Program

Zion Baptist Church – All Our Good Holiday Giving

Join us in partnering with Zion Baptist Church to support their annual “All Our Good Holiday Giving”, a celebration of Christmas giving for the church’s neighborhood. Zion Baptist Church of Minneapolis, led by Pastor Brian Herron, is a prominent black congregation in North Minneapolis.

Christmas Poinsettia Orders

Order Christmas Poinsettias to decorate the sanctuary. Flowers are for sale now through December 10, $20 per flower. Orders can be placed online or at the front desk. Flowers can be taken home after the Christmas Day service and throughout the following week.

First Responder Appreciation Meal

Thank you for your interest in showing your appreciation for our local first responders within the Eden Prairie police and fire departments. We hope that this meal shows to them our support for their work and commitment to the community! Lefse Day

Have you always wondered how to make lefse, the Norwegian favorite for the Christmas dinner table? Here is your chance to find out. Join some seasoned Lefse makers and your fellow St. Andrew members for our 3rd Annual Lefse event in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, December 7, from 9 AM to noon. Camp Registration Opens

Decking the Halls—Christmas Decorating

Join us Saturday, November 30, from 1:00-4:00 PM as we decorate the church for the Christmas Season. Priority decorating on Saturday morning includes changing the banners, setting out the Advent wreath, and setting up the Christmas trees. These tasks involve a lot of heavy lifting. As time and resources allow, focus will be given to the garlands, wreaths, and sanctuary bells.
