Are you a parent of a youth and are wanting to gather with other parents to discus topics of parenting, faith, and learning more about topics relating to your youth? Come and see what this group is all about!
In the wake of tragedy there are often so many hard feelings, questions, uncertainty, and a need for community. In this light, St. Andrew will be hosting an opportunity for learning and conversation around the difficult topics of grief and loss especially when it pertains to young people.
Our very own St. Andrew Member and Certified Grief Educator, Tammy Sperr will be leading the conversation at The Check In for Parents on Wednesday April 26 at 6:00 PM in the chapel.
Tammy speaks from training and personal experience as she lost her own son, Brendan, to suicide at age 19. Parent to parent, she will help you with practical ways to support your teen, as well as share things to be mindful of with your own children.
We know these are challenging topics and so whether you choose to participate with us or not it is our hope that everyone knows they are not alone, whatever struggle they may face. Resources will be made available for all to access as they feel the need.
