Promises, Promises, Promises (10:30 AM Blended) “I Will Give You Rest”
Text: Matthew 11:28-30 One of the most compelling, invitational, and comforting promises in all of scripture is this promise given to us by Jesus in Matthew 11: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” How can we learn to let go of our burdens that we foolishly hang onto and entrust them to the One whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light?

Promises, Promises, Promises (10:30 AM Blended) “I Will Fight For You”
Text: Exodus 14:13-14 God has our backs. As a result of this, we are not left alone to face life’s greatest struggles: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still” (Exodus 14:14). How has God been faithful to defend you in your life?

Promises, Promises, Promises (10:30 AM Blended) “I Will Strengthen the Weary”
Text: Isaiah 40:28-31 God does not grow tired or weary… but we do. God cares for his people through his promise to renew our strength: through the wisdom of God’s Word, through the holy sacraments, through the fellowship of believers, through the presence of the Holy Spirit who accompanies us on our journey. How do you need to be strengthened today?

Great Big Little Words” (10:30 AM Blended) “Always
Text: Matthew 28:16-20 Before his ascension, Jesus gave his disciples the Great Commission, which still gives the church its purpose and calling today. We were also given the promise of Christ’s presence in and through all that we do to fulfill that Great Commission along with one of God’s greatest promises to us: “and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Great Big Little Words (10:30 AM Blended) “Renewal”
Text: 2 Corinthians 4:7-9, 16 Our scripture speaks into the heart of the difficulties we face in modern life: “we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair… yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” We will explore what it means to be “renewed day by day” even in the midst of dark times and difficulties.

Great Big Little Words “Trust”
Text: Genesis 22:1-14 In life’s hardest moments, how do we perceive that God is at work? Do we trust in God’s goodness even when the evidence seems to point to the absence of God? What if everything we value the most was to be taken from us? Could it be that God is calling us into a radical trust relationship for a higher purpose than just our own comfort?
Great Big Little Words (10:30 AM Blended) “Grace”
Text: Ephesians 2:1-9 What is perhaps the most important “big little word” for us Lutherans? The word “grace” cuts to the heart of our faith and teaches us about the nature of God’s love for us in a way that our hearts need to hear again and again. It’s not called “Amazing Grace” for no reason! This is most certainly true!
