Caution: Life Changing Moments Ahead!

Maybe camp should have a warning label…”Caution: life changing moments may occur while attending Spirit in the Pines. You may experience a closeness to God that will strengthen your faith and change the way you accept and care for others. Many have experienced a higher sense of independence and self-worth as well. If these or other symptoms occur, please seek out additional guidance at St. Andrew or your home church.”

Read what campers and counselors have to say about their own favorite camp moments … “At my very first campfire, I remember getting this rush of love and happiness all in one moment. It made me feel like everything in the world was right!”, “All the pressures of life disappear for a few days as we spend time with ourselves, nature, and God.”, “SIP is a place that grounds me and strengthens my relationship with God every year. I can’t stay away!”, “Camp is always the highlight of my summer. You don’t have to worry about fitting in, because everyone is so nice and looking out for you. They let and encourage you to be you!”, “My favorite memories of camp have always been the games. I remember and absolutely love every one of them since 3rd grade!”, “Spirit in the Pines has left such an incredible imprint on my life that I want to help others navigate their faith the same way the counselors and staff did for me.”

Camp can be dangerous! It can impact your life in wonderful and profound ways! May YOU throw caution to the wind and join us for an amazing time at camp surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation and His awesome love and grace!

Peace,

Burke Hancer
