My name is Peter Johnson. I joined the pastoral staff at St. Andrew in 2013. In my role I help design and lead St. Andrew Small Groups and Service. In a nutshell, I create opportunities for people to join together in Christian learning, fellowship, and support groups as well as strengthen our important mission partnerships with organizations in the local community, nation and around the world. I am honored to serve the community of Eden Prairie as a chaplain in the Police and Fire Department. Before coming to St. Andrew, I served as a pastor in an international congregation and an administrator for a refugee program in Cairo, Egypt. I also served congregations in south Minneapolis and Upstate NY. I am married to Michele, a fellow Gustavus graduate. We live in Edina and have three terrific sons. I like spending time with the whole family because time flies. In my free time, I like to walk our yellow retrievers Louie and Cooper, running/biking, bake bread (and teach others, too!), travel, and visit local breweries from time to time.
