Senior Community Services—Senior Gifts
Cost: $20-$50
Description: Senior Community Services (SCS) is a local organization in Hennepin County that provides services to Seniors (60+) in our community, including Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Minnetonka, and Wayzata. SCS’s mission is to reimagine aging and help Seniors stay safely in their home while receiving home maintenance and support services. Many individuals in this group find themselves lonely and without companionship during the Christmas holidays. The project has two options:
- Gift a gift: Sign up to give a gift ($20-50) for a Senior in the program to warm up their Christmas season. A short list of gift ideas will be provided. Drop off your wrapped gift to St. Andrew by Sunday, December 4. Please be sure to label the gift with the first name and city of the Senior for whom you are buying.
- Deliver gifts: Participants may also deliver gifts to Seniors in the program. Deliveries will be made to between 3-5 seniors who will be grouped together based on location somewhere in Hennepin County. For a personal touch, feel free to include a plate of cookies or a greeting card with your delivery! All adults doing deliveries to Seniors are subject to a background check by Senior Community Services. Please sign up by December 1, 2022 to allow for processing and training.
