PRAYER OF THE DAY

Gracious God, you have given us a story to tell and a witness to pass on to the coming generation. By your Spirit, mark us as a people who leave behind a legacy of love because of the grace we have first received from you, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

SERVICE OF HOLY BAPTISM

  • Jayson Craig Marcusen

SOLO
“This Day” (Bob Chilcott)
Josh Eidem, Tim Graf

READING
Deuteronomy 6:5-7

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

READING
Psalm 78:1-4

Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old, things that we have heard and known, that our ancestors have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord and his might and the wonders that he has done.

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
