10:30 AM Contemporary: (Advent 1) – ‘Lament Now’
READING Isaiah 61:1-4 God is always present. God is an ever-present God. In creation. In restoration. God does not ignore our transgressions. God is greatly troubled when we sin, hurt others, and ourselves. But God is also a God of restoration and renewal. Thankfully for us, each and every day of our lives, God comes to us with all that God has to give. Which, by the way, is everything!

Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were made clean. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’…

Revelation 21:1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be…
