Spirit in the Pines: Off-Season Camp Reservations
Age Range: Any (including outside groups)
Dates/Times: Late August–Early May
Description: Typical events include family reunions, weddings, work retreats, etc. Extremely affordable options ($20/night/person and option to cook for yourself or purchase dining hall meals, if desired). For more information: visit spiritinthepinescamp.org/group-bookings.
Camp Registration Opens Sat. Dec 7th!
Description: The camp calendar, fees and other Summer 2025 information will be posted by November 1st on the camp webpage spiritinthepinescamp.org. Registrations are accepted all summer long providing space is still available. Scholarship requests are available for all of our camp and retreat programs.
Spirit in the Pines: Fall/Winter/Spring Retreats!
Age Range: Gr. 6–7 Confirmation Groups, Gr. 8 Confirmation Groups, Gr. 9–10 LIT Retreats, Gr. 10–12 Counselor Retreats
Dates/Times: Retreat weekends happen in Oct, Jan, Feb, and Mar. Specific dates will be posted by Sept 15th on the camp webpage spiritinthepinescamp.org.
Description: These weekends are open to St. Andrew youth and returning campers. We love seeing campers reunite during the school year at camp for a rejuvenating and formative time together!
Training for LITs, CITs, and New/Returning Counselors (Current 8th–12th Graders)
Age Range: LITs 8th–9th Grade, CITs 10th Grade, Counselors 11th–12th Grade (2024–2025)
LIT Training Dates/Description: We have a new Leader-in-Training program for 8th–9th grade students this year. LITs can register for elementary and middle school weeks to support a cabin of young campers in Grades 3–6. LITs attend one three-hour intensive training in a small group or online, and they are encouraged to attend the LIT track at a winter retreat at camp. CIT/Counselor Training Dates/Description: Students in 10th–12th grade attend one winter retreat at camp in addition to five monthly training sessions on a Sunday evening in Dec–May. Visit spiritinthepinescamp.org/counselors for more information.
Summer 2025 Camp Programs (Ent. Gr. 3–10 & Family Camps)
Age Range: Weekend Family Camps & Weeklong Camp Sessions (Separate Sessions for Ent. Gr. 3–6, 6–8, and 9–10)
Dates/Times: Approximately June 10–August 14. Exact dates will be posted by Nov. 1st at spiritinthepinescamp.org.
Description: Spirit in the Pines is owned and operated by St. Andrew. It is located about an hour north of Brainerd on beautiful Pleasant Lake in Hackensack, MN. We host over 1000 people every summer, with about half being St. Andrew members and folks from all over the southwest metro. Summertime at Spirit in the Pines Camp is filled with youth camp sessions during the week and family camp sessions on the weekends. Spirit in the Pines: Work Weekend Volunteers
Age Range: Adults and Families
Dates/Times: Early May 2025
Description: Help us with maintenance and improvement projects
for our beloved property! All skill levels are needed. Lodging and meals are included for the weekend for volunteers. Projects including painting/staining, woodwork, and more!
