WELCOME
CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
Blessed be the holy Trinity, ☩ one God,
the fountain of living water,
the rock who gave us birth,
our light and our salvation.
Amen.
Gracious God,
have mercy on us. We confess that we have turned from you and given ourselves into the power of sin. We are truly sorry and humbly repent. In your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things we have done and things we have failed to do. Turn us again to you, and uphold us by your Spirit, so that we may live and serve you in newness of life through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
God, who is rich in mercy, loved us even when we were dead in sin, and made us alive together with Christ. By grace you have been saved. In the name of ☩ Jesus Christ, your sins are forgiven. Almighty God strengthen you with power through the Holy Spirit, that Christ may live in your hearts through faith. Amen.

PRAYER OF THE DAY
Almighty God, you have raised your servant Jesus from death to life and you share that same resurrection with all your children. We therefore rejoice in the mighty things that you have accomplished for they are marvelous in our sight, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

READINGS
Psalm 118:15-24
Leader: Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!
ALL: The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
Leader: I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
ALL: The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
Leader: Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
ALL: This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter.
Leader: I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.
ALL: The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
Leader: the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
ALL: The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
“Halle, Halle, Hallelujah”
Matthew 28:1-10
After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.’ This is my message for you.” So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

What’s happening at St. Andrew?
David trusted in his own abilities to overcome this giant of a person. In our Group we are here to overcome the “Giants” of raising a teen.
We will be exploring popular Bible stories, parables and see how they apply to our lives as young adults.
Join St. Andrew staff and other members and friends for casual conversation and easy discussion topics. No preparation is needed. Come as you are.
We will be surrounded by voices who articulate the fresh ways to study, preach, learn, and imagine the scriptures.
We want every camper and every family to be able to go to Spirit in the Pines! Check our openings and contact camp for more info.
