Music Ministry

Rooted in tradition. Alive with creativity. Open to all.

Music is central to worship at St. Andrew. Through song and sound, we pray, reflect, celebrate, and connect across generations. Whether you’ve been making music for decades or are just curious, there’s a place for you here.

Why Music Matters at St. Andrew

Music helps us express faith in ways words alone cannot. It brings generations together, deepens worship, and creates space for joy, comfort, and hope. At St. Andrew, music isn’t about performance — it’s about participation and praise.

Adult Choirs

Sing. Belong. Grow in faith.

Adult choirs are open to anyone who enjoys singing — no audition required. These groups combine musical excellence with meaningful community and spiritual depth.

What to expect

  • Weekly rehearsals during the program year
  • Leadership from professional musicians and educators
  • Music that supports worship and the church year
  • Seasonal highlights including All Saints Sunday, Christmas Eve, and Holy Week

Who it’s for: Adults of all ages and experience levels
Commitment: Weekly during the season, with flexibility for life schedules

Children & Youth Choirs

Music is one of the most powerful ways children and students grow in faith, confidence, and belonging.

Opportunities include

  • Starlight Singers: 3 year olds to Kindergarten
  • Sonshine Singers: 1st - 5th grade

Kids aren’t just learning music — they’re learning they belong in worship.

Bell Choirs

A unique way to make music — together.

Bell choirs at St. Andrew offer a distinctive and meaningful way to participate in worship. Ringing handbells blends rhythm, precision, teamwork, and prayer into a powerful shared experience.

What makes bell choirs special

  • Music is created collaboratively — every ringer matters
  • Emphasis on focus, listening, and community
  • A beautiful blend of tradition and creativity

Who can join

  • Adults and youth (depending on the ensemble)
  • No prior bell experience required — training is provided
  • Ability to read music is helpful but not mandatory

Commitment

  • Weekly rehearsals during the program year
  • Participation in worship services throughout the season

Bell choirs are ideal for people who enjoy making music but may not be comfortable singing — or who want to try something completely different.

Instrumentalists & Ensembles

You don’t have to sing to serve through music.
We welcome instrumentalists of many kinds to support worship throughout the year.

Ways to get involved

  • Seasonal ensembles and special services
  • Collaborations with choirs and worship leaders
  • Opportunities for teens and adults

Who it’s for: Intermediate to advanced players
Time commitment: Flexible and often seasonal

Seasonal & Special Worship Music

Throughout the year, music plays a central role in milestone worship moments.

Highlights include

  • Festival Sundays
  • All Saints Sunday
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
  • Holy Week and Good Friday services
  • Intergenerational and instrumental collaborations

These services are designed to support worship in meaningful, prayerful ways — not to showcase performance, but to deepen the experience of the congregation.
