Worship & Hospitality

Hospitality & Coffee Team
Ages: Adults and Confirmation Age Youth
Days/Times: Sunday Mornings after 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM Service
Description: Create spaces of warmth and connection by preparing and serving coffee and treats. Help set up, greet guests, and keep the coffee flowing! You can volunteer once a month - or even once a year. Thank you so much for sharing your time with others on Sunday morning!

Communion Assistants
Ages: Youth–Adult
Days/Times: 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, 9:00 & 10:30 AM; holidays as scheduled
Description: Assist pastors in distributing bread and wine during worship—an important, sacred way to serve our community. Training is provided.

Greeters

Description: Be the first face of St. Andrew as people walk in the building for worship on a Sunday morning. A simple wave to each person or family says, “You Matter. You Belong. We Care"

Ushers
Ages: Adults or High School Youth
Days/Times: Usher teams serve for a month at a time every 3 months at either 9:00 or 10:30 AM services.
Description: As worshippers enter the sanctuary, having one or two ushers available each week for assistance in knowing where to sit, where to place their offerings, or to simply be that person to go to with questions or concerns makes everyone feel welcome!

Worship Arts Team

Description: The Worship Arts Team exists to support the vision and mission of St. Andrew. They will transform our worship space for each season working with fabric, plants and flowers, banners, and more to bring worship visually to life. Service & Outreach
Serving others is at the heart of who we are. From local opportunities to global missions, there are many ways to make a difference.
Local & Global Service Opportunities
Ages: All ages welcome; families encouraged
Days/Times: Varies by project or event
Description: If you love working with children, mowing lawns, preparing meals, or serving on mission trips, we have opportunities for you! Projects include food preparation, community partnerships, yard work, and outreach events.

Funeral Reception Team
Ages: Adults and Teens
Days/Times: When the funeral reception leaders are notified of an upcoming funeral at St. Andrew, you will be notified through a SignUpGenius email and invited to donate food and/or help with the reception in the Fellowship Hall following a service. Reception day volunteers typically sign up for a 1½ hour time slot as their schedule allows. Most reception needs occur on weekdays between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM (occasionally weeknights or weekends). Frequency varies. Help when available.
Description: Provide homemade goods or donate purchased food items as requested. Help with setting the dining tables, serving family and guests, or cleaning up following a funeral reception. All needs are specified within the SignUpGenius notification. No experience is necessary. This is a rewarding ministry and a wonderful way to meet new people in the congregation. Please join us!

Children, Youth & Family (CYF)
Our children and youth thrive because of caring adults who share their time, creativity, and love of God. Opportunities are available on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and during special events throughout the year.
Sunday School
Ages: Adults and teens (Grades 7+)
Days/Times: Sundays, 9:00 & 10:30 AM (Sept. 14, 2025 – May 10, 2026)
Description: Help kids experience God’s love through storytelling, crafts, and small-group activities. Each morning begins with Faith Rocks—a kid-led worship with songs and prayer—followed by small groups by age level.
Volunteer opportunities include: Prep Team, Welcome Team, or Activity Leader (serve weekly, monthly, or occasionally). 60 volunteers are needed to make Sunday School run smoothly.

Confirmation Guides
Ages: Adults & high-school leaders (Grades 10–12 welcome as assistants)
Days/Times: Wednesdays, 6:30–8:00 PM (Sept–May)
Description: Walk alongside middle-school students as a Small Group Guide or substitute leader. Build relationships, explore faith, and create community with our youth.

Property & Administration Support
Fix-it Team
Age Range: Adults
Days/Times: 1st Monday monthly at 9:00 AM in the Narthex.
Description: Provide a welcoming space for users of our building by joining a small group of people for fellowship, coffee and small scale building maintenance projects. Projects include repairing toys in our Childcare or Preschool rooms, assembling small pieces of furniture or equipment.

Indoor/Outdoor Maintenance Team
Age Range: Adults
Days/Times: Prime time for these projects is in the spring and fall, but there are always on-going projects available. Let us know you are interested and we will get you on our contact list for our next project.
Description: Assists Building and Property Staff in completing various maintenance projects both indoors and outdoors. These projects include such things as painting classrooms, striping our parking lot, and landscape clean-up and work.

Offering Counters
Age Range: Adults
Days/Times: Mondays from 8:30–10:30 AM or when needed
Description: We currently have openings for back-up offering counters who are called when needed. These volunteers gather in the Conference Room to count and record our weekly offerings. Holidays and other special weekends often require additional help and time. We provide calculators, pens, paper, coffee, and yummy treats!

Office Volunteers
Age Range: Adults
Days/Times: Office volunteers are able to work at their own pace and time. Let us know you are interested and we will contact you when there is a need.
Description: Assists our office staff with a variety of administrative projects throughout the year. Projects include filing, data entry, copying, and stuffing/sealing envelopes for bulk mailing.
