Worship Volunteer Opportunities

 

Altar Guild

Age Range: Adult

Days/Times: One weekend per month for one service

Description: Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings set-up the sanctuary for Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, along with other important tasks, helps the congregation worship God in meaningful ways.

Communion Assistants

Age Range: Youth–adult

Days/Times: Sign up to serve when available

Description: Assist the pastors with distribution of the wine and bread for communion on the first and third Sundays mornings of the month and at all Sunday Night Worship services. Training is available.

Sunday Greeters

Age Range: All ages

Days/Times: Once every 4–6 weeks; 20 Minutes

Description: To help create a welcoming environment at St. Andrew morning and evening worship services. Greet people, extend a hand, share a smile, help introduce people to others, and assist newcomers.

Ushers (AM & PM Services)

Age Range: Youth–adult

Days/Times: Usher teams serve once a month every 3–4 months depending on the service hour and needs

Description: To greet and assist those entering the sanctuary for worship with a warm smile and welcoming presence. Duties include distribution of bulletins, assisting with collecting the offering, directing the congregation for communion, and assisting those with special needs.

Youth Fusion Sunday Readers in Worship

Age Range: Youth

Days/Times: Once a month at both morning services

Description: Readers play a key role in the worship experience. We consider it an honor and privilege to lead worship and we hope you feel blessed by your role in worship. We appreciate you!

Worship Technology Team

Age Range: Teenager–adult

Days/Times: Various worship services of the congregation

Description: Provide support for worship through PowerPoint, worship software, projection system, and sound board.

NEW! Sanctuary Care Team

Age Range: Adults, parents and children, and confirmation age youth

Days/Time: Varies

Description: This team helps with the care of the Sanctuary information boxes and Festival Worship preparations. Sign up as you are able.

NEW! Festival Worship Team

Age Range: Adults, parents and children, and confirmation age youth

Days/Time: Varies by needs

Description: The Festival Worship Team serve as ushers, greeters, communion assistants, help with hospitality, meal assistance, parking, set up, clean-up, and other various needs during Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and Special Events (Concerts, Conferences, Special Meals, etc.)
