10:30 AM Contemporary: (Advent 3) – “Come Now”

Text: Isaiah 64:1-9  God is always present. God is an ever-present God. In creation. In restoration. God does not ignore our transgressions. God is greatly troubled when we sin, hurt others, and ourselves. But God is also a God of restoration and renewal. Thankfully for us, each and every day of our lives, God comes to us with all that God has to give. Which, by the way, is everything!

10:30 AM Contemporary: (Advent 2) – ‘Comfort Now’

Text: Isaiah 40:1-11. Most of all, God is compassionate, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. Sometimes life is really messy and just plain sad. Thankfully of us, the love, grace, and mercy of God do not only come to us once a year – during the season of Christmas. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”  Lamentations 3:22-23.

Thanksgiving Eve: “No Matter What!”

READINGLuke 17:11-19 On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were made clean. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’…

READING Acts 26:12-16 “On one of these journeys I was going to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests. At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me. And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to…
