Pastor Sarah Fike

I grew up in a small town in northern Iowa by Mason City and was very active in my home congregation. I attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and majored in Religion and Social Work. During my college years, I had the opportunity to live in Denver, CO and intern at the Rocky Mountain Synod office focusing on Lutheran Advocacy. After college, I started working at Central Lutheran Church in Downtown Minneapolis as the Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry. I worked at Central for two years, and then started Luther Seminary during my second year at Central. I served my internship year in Robesonia, PA at Trinity Lutheran Church. After graduating from Luther Seminary, I received my first call at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing, MN in God’s great north woods. I recently got married to Edward Payne who lives in Minneapolis, so I am thrilled to be coming back and living closer to family. We have three dogs, a greyhound, a dachshund, and a mix.
