My name is Peter Johnson. I joined the pastoral staff at St. Andrew in 2013. I have served various pastoral roles at St. Andrew. Currently, I am Senior Pastor. Prior to this, I helped design and lead St. Andrew’s Small Groups and Service, creating opportunities for people to join together in Christian learning, fellowship, and support groups as well as strengthen our important mission partnerships with organizations in the local community, nation, and around the world.
Before coming to St. Andrew, I served as a pastor in an international congregation and an administrator for a refugee program in Cairo, Egypt. I also served congregations in south Minneapolis and Upstate NY. I am honored to serve on the Board of Trustees of my alma mater, Gustavus Adolphus College, and to serve the community of Eden Prairie as a chaplain in the Police and Fire Department.
I am married to Michele, a fellow Gustavus graduate. We live in Edina and have three terrific sons. I like spending time with the whole family because time flies. In my free time, I like walking our yellow labs Louie and Cooper, running/biking, baking bread, traveling, and visiting local breweries from time to time.
