“What Kids Keep Telling Me”

Forum Leader: Jeff Thelen, Eden Prairie Public School Teacher and Coach

Description: Starting off on the right foot as school begins this fall is a common goal for all parents. Would you like some new, practical suggestions about parenting practices to start the new school?

For this session of Parenting Forum, we welcome Jeff Thelen, a teacher and academic coach within the Eden Prairie Public Schools. In his over 15 years working with youth in the community, he has developed a thoughtful and pointed list of observations youth make about their parents.  What do parents do that is helpful? What do parents do that is not helpful? What do I wish my parents would say/do more? Mr. Thelen will present these topics and reflect with us on how we as parents might engage with our kids in a new way this fall.

Date/Time: Tuesday, August 29th from 6:30-8 PM
