Worship (10:30 AM Contemporary) “Anger”

Text: Matthew 5:21-26 God’s Word provides us with solid reasoning on the importance of settling our differences with others.  The God of peace asks us to be reconciled with our brothers and sisters even before we come before the Lord in worship.  Wasn’t it peace that Jesus was showing us in his death on the cross?  How is God calling us to transform our anger into something life-giving before we do and say things that we later regret?

Worship (10:30 AM Contemporary) “3rd Best Gift”

Text: John 14:15-31 Jesus may be getting ready to leave his disciples at his ascension into heaven, but he promises them and us that he doesn’t leave us as orphans. The promise of the Holy Spirit for all who follow Jesus is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Without the Spirit who is given to us in our baptisms, there would be no gift of faith for us!

Worship (10:30 AM Contemporary) “Show and Tell”

Text: John 20:19-31 The risen Jesus appeared to his disciples who were hiding behind locked doors in fear.  As we face those fears in our lives that hold us captive, Jesus comes to us as well with nail-scarred hands that bring hope and peace into our lives.  How will we show and tell of the One who makes such a difference in our lives?

Worship | Good Friday (7:00 PM) “The Seven Last Words”

“The Seven Last Words”- where the story is primarily told through music as the Canticle Choir and a professional orchestra perform the choral masterwork “The Seven Last Words of Jesus on the Cross” by Cesar Franck.  Our pastors provide context through devotional reflections and we experience the holding of the cross as a worshipping community together.  Bring a friend and join us for this powerful service of music and reflection.

Worship | Lent (7:00 PM) “Intercepted and Redirected”

Jonah 1:17, Psalm 139:1-2, 7-10 Encounters with God often come in the form of disruptions to everyday life. They take us off course and throw us off balance. But in many cases, disruptions have the potential to bring us into a sacred encounter with God and our neighbor in ways that we might not expect–or in ways that might show us something new about ourselves. The story of Jonah invites us to wonder whether and how the God of Jonah…

Worship (10:30 AM Contemporary) “Serving Others Will Change Your Life”

When pressed to winnow down all the laws into only one Jesus said, “Got it.  Love God.  Love people.”  The point – the people who love and serve God and – as a result – people who feel called and inspired to go love and serve other people in the name of Jesus.  Just imagine a world where people are more concerned about someone other than him or herself. That in the world that God wants and envisions.

Thanksgiving Eve Worship “Real Thanks”

Our service will continue our tradition of an intergenerational choir as well as special music from soloists Josh Eidem and Tim Graf. Don’t miss this opportunity to come and be reminded that Thanksgiving is not only a holiday but it is a verb as well; we will offer our gratitude to God for all the blessings in our lives.

Worship (10:30 AM Contemporary) “Stay Calm”

Text: Matthew 8:23-27 A storm can approach without warning just like it did when Jesus was out on a boat with his disciples. But Jesus is in the business of calming the storms that threaten us just as he did that day. We can stay calm because Jesus is with us. “Be still and know that I am God.”
