WELCOME

SONG
“Brighter Days”

CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
Loving God,
We long for a life that means something, for brighter days and authentic ways, but we miss your guidance and ignore your teaching.
Forgive us today.
We haven’t listened to your voice in our daily lives; we haven’t seen you all around us.
Forgive us today.
By things we have done and by things we have forgotten to do, we have hurt or ignored your world. Forgive us today. Forgive us and lead us into lives of service to a world that needs your love.
Forgive us today.
Even when we lose our way or miss the path the Holy Spirit provides, Jesus is always near, calling us forth into brighter days. We are created in the image of God with the same spark that lit the heavens.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and freed from the mistakes we’ve made, the messes we’ve gotten ourselves into, and the sin that so easily entangles us.

Jesus loves you. Jesus forgives you. Go and be well. Amen.

POST COMMUNION PRAYER

READING & MESSAGE
Colossians 3:12-17
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
