A Legacy That Reaches | Extra
Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:00 & 10:30 AM as we celebrate mothers and indeed all women who nurture, support, counsel, and encourage in so many ways. In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he points to Timothy’s rich heritage of faith: “a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you.” We gather to give thanks to God for these incredible women of faith and how the Lord works through their every act of faithful service and care. Our 9 AM service features special music from our Chamber Choir and also from our adult handbell ensembles Bells of Joy and Grace Notes performing together for the first time, and our 10:30 service music features vocalist Rebecca Hammond and our worship band. Come and join us!
EXTRA!
We live in a world of "ordinary" limits—barriers that divide us, labels that define us, and the exhaustion of a weary world. But the Resurrection is the ultimate "Extra." It is the divine "plus" that turns a closed tomb into an open door and a fearful room into a courageous movement. This Easter season, we are called beyond the status quo. To a Faith that Welcomes and a Love that Reaches to Jesus’ calling in our lives. For 50 years, St. Andrew has been more than a building; we’ve been a witness to the Extraordinary. Now, we follow Jesus into a life that is extravagant in grace, extroverted in mission, and unshakeable in hope.

READING
2 Timothy 1:3-7
I am grateful to God—whom I worship with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did—when I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. Recalling your tears, I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy. I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you. For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands, for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
