St. Andrew West is turned into the Upper Room where Jesus instituted the Last Supper. The Last Supper was a Jewish Passover, or paschal meal, a solemn sacrificial meal carried out according to ancient Jewish ritual by Jesus and His disciples in the Upper Room. As the supper drew to a close, Christ completed His plan to fulfill the Passover when He broke bread and passed the ceremonial cup to the disciples to free them and all of us from the bondage of sin. You will enter the room by walking along the road that Jesus walked into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. The room will be decorated with as much authenticity as possible. A full meal will be served by the Women of St. Andrew. There will be a reenactment of the Last Supper with Scripture readings and the event is concluded with a Communion Worship. Let us think of the significance of the paschal meal by attending this very meaningful worship during Holy Week.
